Dallas Indoor Portrait Session with Recuir Leather Maker : Corrie Pocta

I don't find many people that I can share affinities with in the realm of art and photography. Not that there aren't many creatives that express my same sentiments for the craft, it's hard to come across someone who just gets you, your style, and personality. Corrie is one of those same rare handful of people for me. As an art teacher by day and leather maker by night, Corrie Pocta embodies all the quiet and beautiful elements of balancing career and creative hobbies. She approached me to take some really casual and intimate portraits at her home in the Bishop Arts District. We had a sort of Madewell inspired sort of session where the tones were blues, whites, neutrals, and a surprising accent green color. I was only supposed to be there for maybe an hour but we had such a great time that I ended up leaving three hours later!
