ART // One by One Tx

The last time I had a show it was last year at my Alma Mater. Benefitting the college's art program, alumni including myself contributing art work to be sold in a silent auction. I was little disappointed that I couldn't see the show due to schedule conflicts and the photos that I had submitted were sold off so I couldn't take it home =(. Well this year has started off much better than 2014. With the One by One Tx show hosted by InstaDFW and Citygram Magazine, I had the chance to showcase mobile photography work. It was held in Austin at the Artpost where a ton of Texans and others around the country got to show work. It was incredibly put together by Jeyson Paez. And the best part the images were sold to the highest bidders for charity. It was great to be in a community that celebrated the trending photography of our generation and to be among those people. And I was so honored and humbled to have a few friends and family come out to support me - I forgot what it was like to have that kind of love especially for my photography.

Me with InstaCelebrity and friend Karen Lao - she too was in the show!

Because of the overwhelming amount of exposure and networking through InstaDFW - I was also able to showcase work at the Crow Collection in Dallas AT THE SAME TIME as the One by One show (HEAD EXPLOSION.) I was astounding by how amazing these moments came at the same weekend. I was hoping they would actually have the image printed and hung in the galleries but I can't complain. It's still inside the effin' Crow!!! Gah so awesome! Reflecting on that weekend, I just can't believe it happened. Truly grateful - I mean...the year has barely begun. It's really encouraging and uplifting to see such positive results come my way. I'm ready to take 2015 by force. I've been blessed. Really blessed.
