Little Critters with Flitters

Hah! So i tried my best to come up with a catchy title but it actually sounds stupid... Anyways, this past weekend I spent some time at the Texas Discovery Gardens where I got to see tons of butterflies in the Butterfly House. Great under the radar spot for photography - highly recommend this spot for photographers needing a fresh scene from the Dallas Botanical Gardens. I got some good snaps of these butterflies and wish i could go back soon so I can take more. this time i'll be drenched in sweet nectar so that they fly onto my hand =)

By far, my favorite image. I love the dramatic lighting, the deep hues in a gradient background, and the sharp detail on the wing. Next time - I'm whipping out the macro lens. I gotta get the detail on all these wings!!
