PT + Tommy, The Tea Ceremony (In Brief)
I've had lots of requests to post photos of PT & Tommy's wedding and I figured I would appease the masses with a little teaser. I have been blessed to be so busy juggling Woot work and photography. Both keep me working around the clock and I apologize that photos aren't posted sooner. I promise to move as fast as I can. Patience, my friends, will be needed in the next few months. =) So here it is, a few snaps of the tea ceremony. If you're not familiar with the traditions of the Vietnamese culture, the tea ceremony is a very formal affair where the Groom's famiily comes to the home of the Bride bringing gifts. These gifts are presented to the family of the Bride and there they enter the home and join together. The bride and groom each formally greet the elders of their spouse and then serve them with tea. Afterwards, both mothers present the bride with jewelry to wear. Afterwards, they eat together as one united family. I probably summarized the general idea of the tea ceremony but there's a lot more about it that I probably don't know about it. Please feel free to correct me or add on to this cultural tradition.
By the way, HAPPY 1MONTH ANNIVERSARY to the newlyweds!!!
