YOGA BASICS

An introductory course on the foundational postures that yoga offers. The focus will be to look into intentional breath work as well as deeper holds on the principal sun salutation sequences. This class is for all levels - no matter if you’re a beginner or a long time yogi, it never hurts to come back to the basics and discover or renew the reason you came onto your mat. FLOW YOGA

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS / 7:15PM - 8:15PM CST

Although similar to yoga basics in terms of vinyasa based yoga discipline, Flow Yoga is a 60 minute class geared toward working towards one or two more intermediate postures. Taking your principal yoga practice and building towards more challenging and exciting poses to remind yourself that the body can do so much more than you think. The pace is a little faster as we move more fluidly from one pose to the next to create a flow of energy that is constant and the breath is steady throughout. In this class, the intention is to find the reward in seeing what your body can and cannot do as well as acknowledging how to make the most of it on and off the mat. Beginners are welcome to attend and try it out and pauses/breaks are highly encouraged. Do not feel like you have to do everything!
